Star Wars Zero Company is officially here. Bit Reactor and Electronic Arts have launched the single-player turn-based tactics game on Steam today, August 27, 2026, bringing a fresh take on Clone Wars-era combat to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Set during the twilight of the Clone Wars, Zero Company puts you in command of an elite squad of operatives tasked with stopping an emerging threat that could consume the galaxy. Unlike the more action-oriented Star Wars titles in recent memory, this one leans heavily into tactical strategy, drawing clear inspiration from games like XCOM while wrapping it in the Star Wars universe.
Players take on the role of Hawks, leading a team composed of diverse character archetypes ranging from scoundrels and astromechs to Jedi. Every decision matters on the battlefield, where you will position your squad, choose from an arsenal of tactical abilities, and adapt to an ever-shifting combat environment. Between missions, you manage your base of operations, upgrade your operatives, and forge bonds that unlock new combat synergies.
The game features a fully original story that explores lesser-known corners of the Clone Wars era. The narrative follows Zero Company as they are recruited for a covert operation against a Separatist-aligned paramilitary cult known as the Infinite Coil. Matt Lanter, known for voicing Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars animated series, stars as the lead character, lending authenticity to the experience.
Customization is a significant part of the package. Players can personalize Hawks’ combat specialization and appearance, then recruit and customize additional team members with unique loadouts and abilities. The Deluxe Edition includes cosmetic packs inspired by the Grand Army of the Republic and the Shadow Collective, along with exclusive painted weapon themes.
Steam players can grab Star Wars Zero Company for $49.99 USD, with the Deluxe Edition available at a higher tier. A Grammy award-winning original score by composer Gordy Haab accompanies the experience, with the soundtrack releasing simultaneously via Walt Disney Records.
