Want to know how the Overwatch ranks work? To compete with the best players, you must climb the Overwatch ranks by winning ranked matches. If you’re brand new to Overwatch, you will have to play 20 unranked games in either standard or Stadium before you’re allowed to compete. We should note that your Overwatch rank doesn’t carry over between Competitive and Stadium in the free PC game – it doesn’t matter if you’re Top 500 in Stadium, you could be placed in Bronze in Competitive.
